The PHULKARI 2024 7th Annual Folk Dance Event is proudly presented by Malwa Folk Art Center in association with Malwa Lok Art Society and is scheduled for July 13, 2024. Malwa Folk is a Surrey-based folk art and dance academy established in 2017 by director and coach Harmanjit Singh (former Coach Punjabi University Patiala, India). Our mission is to preserve pure folk dance and heritage with devotion. Bhangra is the most well-known of all Punjabi folk dances. Phulkari 2024 will showcase several dance genres from Punjab, showcasing their vibrant hues. Both morning and evening performances are offered. Our junior teams will perform in the morning show, and our intermediate, senior, and adult teams will perform in the evening show. Come join us to savor the Punjabi folk dances and music with our bright stars. (Gabhroo and Mutiyaar).
